What is an automated smoothie system?

Nutri Blendz has two main categories for our Smoothie Solutions; Automated and Free Pour.  The Nutri Blendz Automated Smoothie Solution is a process for making smoothies where the majority of the smoothie is produced by our automated blender.  The blender has several bag in the box flavor purees that it uses and combines to create the recipe that has been selected by the clientele.  The Automated blender will automatically measure out the precise amount of puree necessary giving you a consistent smoothie every time.  It also removes the employee from the majority of the process allowing you to better manage inventory and prevent shrinkage.  In addition to being a simpler solution when compared to the Free Pour system, it also has a higher profit margin for a couple of reasons:  First, you don't have the high startup cost (no need for freezers and refrigerators, etc.).  Second, you are not stocking frozen fruits that vary in cost depending on the season, require an employee to go and get them when you run out, and spoil.  At this point you are wondering, "What about the taste?"  Smoothies made from the Free Pour or Automated system are virtually identical in taste and texture.  Because of these reasons we promote Automated Smoothie Solution more often.   It just seems to be a "No Brainer".

Cons:

• Requires ice flaker which is slightly more expensive than an ice cuber.

We have found over time that the best way to determine which solution is right for you is to first determine your average workouts per day.  If you are under 1000 work outs per day the Automated Smoothie Solution is the way to go.  Low cost startup and hugeprofit margins.  If you are over the 1000 work outs per day threshold, then the startup cost for the free pour system are justifiable.  For more information contact your local Nutri Blendz rep.  Both the Automated and Free Pour smoothie solutions can be modified to fit your particular needs or to be more compatible with your club environment and design.
